Frijoles Charros (Pinto Bean Soup) with Optional Bacon

This festive and hearty Mexican soup, known as Cowboy Bean Soup in English, has a lot going for it.

Creamy pinto beans, roasted sweet and spicy peppers, and bacon (if you want) to top it all off with rich salty, smoky goodness.

We cook Colorado organic pinto beans (soaked and pressure cooked with filtered, pH balanced water and bay leaf for ultimate digestibility) with organic onion, organic garlic, organic roasted poblano chiles, roasted organic sweet bell peppers, organic tomato, Real sea salt, black pepper, and Mexican oregano.

Add optional bacon. The bacon version also contains our housemade chicken stock (organic chicken backs and filtered water).

Delicious with our Latin Style Slaw.

Freezable in straight-edged mason jars with appropriate head room or other freezer safe container. Simply run the frozen jars under warm water to slide out and heat.
